Accessibility statement

Ondustry is committed to making its platform accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. We are working to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA and to keep improving the experience for users of assistive technologies.

Conformance status

The WCAG define requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities, at three levels: A, AA, and AAA. Ondustry’s web application is partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 Level AA. “Partially conformant” means some parts of the content do not yet fully conform to the standard; the areas still in progress are listed below.

WCAG 2.2 Level AA includes all Level A and AA success criteria from WCAG 2.0 and 2.1.

What this statement covers

This statement applies to the Ondustry web application — its public pages, account registration and sign-in, and the distributor and dealer portal.

It does not cover:

  • Our marketing website at www.ondustry.com.
  • Our separate internal administration tool.

Measures we take

  • A shared library of accessible, reusable interface components, with labels, roles, focus management and keyboard support built in.
  • Semantic landmarks and a single main region on each page, descriptive page titles, a “skip to main content” link, visible focus indicators, and keyboard operability throughout.
  • Color contrast that meets AA across the screens covered by our automated checks; text sized in relative units so it scales with your browser settings; no restrictions on zoom; and support for the reduced-motion setting.
  • Automated accessibility tests that run against our shared component library on every code change, plus an automated accessibility scan suite (axe-core) covering our page templates.

Technical specifications

Accessibility of this application relies on HTML, WAI-ARIA, CSS and JavaScript, and on the combination of your web browser and any assistive technology you use.

Compatibility with browsers and assistive technology

Ondustry is designed to work with recent versions of Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari. The assistive technology combinations we target are:

  • NVDA with Firefox or Chrome on Windows.
  • VoiceOver with Safari on macOS and iOS.

Formal verification against this full matrix is not yet complete — see Known limitations below.

Known limitations

We are aware of the following areas that may not yet be fully accessible, and we are actively working on them:

  • Manual screen-reader verification with NVDA and VoiceOver: we maintain a documented test programme with per-flow scripts, but the first full pass across all critical flows is scheduled and not yet complete.
  • One complex authoring screen — editing a pricebook — is not yet covered by our automated checks and is pending manual review.
  • Voice messages sent in chat are audio only. We do not yet generate transcripts, so their content is not available as text.
  • Address autocomplete uses Google Maps place search, a third-party component that is partly outside our direct control. You can enter an address manually instead.

How we assess accessibility

Ondustry assesses the accessibility of this application by self-evaluation. We combine automated per-page axe-core scans and component-level accessibility tests with keyboard-only testing, and we are working through a documented manual screen-reader test programme covering our critical user journeys.

Feedback and contact

We welcome your feedback on the accessibility of Ondustry. If you encounter a barrier, or need information in a different format, please contact us and we will do our best to help:

We aim to respond as quickly as we can. It helps if you can include the address of the page, a short description of the problem, and the browser and any assistive technology you were using.

If our reply does not resolve the issue, you can escalate it by replying to the same thread with “Accessibility escalation” in the subject line, and it will be routed for senior review.

For procurement and vendor assessment

If you are evaluating Ondustry as a vendor and need detail on our conformance against specific WCAG success criteria, or on Section 508 requirements, contact us at support@ondustry.com and we will respond with what we know.
